Her mother, who cared for her until age 3, said to H3 Podcast interviewers that she was brought up in slums by Poarch. Kenneth Taylor was an American and Eden Taylor was his wife who adopted her. According to Poarch, during the following 10 years, she was mostly responsible for doing household chores and taking care of the farm. Poarch has two older adoptive sisters as well as a younger brother Bryner. The family relocated in Texas, United States when she turned 13 years old.
